In 2366, Chakotay transferred to the Gage after four years of fighting the Cardassians. (VOY novel: Pathways)
In 2367, the Gage participated in the Battle of Wolf 359. It was destroyed, along with 38 other starships. (TNG episode: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")
The Gage had been deployed by Admiral J.P. Hanson, along with the USS Kyushu and the USS Melbourne, against the Borg. The Gage was destroyed soon after. (DS9 novelization: Emissary)
