The USS Galen was a Federation Olympic-class medical frigate starship in Starfleet service in the late 24th century, a successor in the name after the USS Galen.

The Galen was under the command of Captain Newton in 2387, when the ship responded to reports of the impending destruction of the planet Romulus. When Captain Newton offered the aid of the Galen and two sister ships to survivors of the cataclysm, Nero responded by beaming a mining explosive to the Galen's medical bay, destroying the vessel.
