There have been at least two Federation starships to bear the name, USS Heisenberg:

• The USS Heisenberg, a Daedalus-class starship in service in the 22nd century. (Decipher RPG module: Starships).
• The USS Heisenberg, a starship of unspecified class in service in the 23rd century, which participated in the Battle of Axanar under the command of Garth of Izar. (TOS novel: Garth of Izar).

  Note: Other sources (FASA) give Garth's command at the Battle of Axanar as the USS Xenophon.

• The USS Heisenberg, a Nebula-class starship in service in the 24th century. (TNG video game: Armada II).
• The USS Heisenberg, a Leviathan-class science vessel.

Background InformationEdit

Presumably named for German physicist and mathmetician Werner Heisenberg; whose Uncertainty Principle was later "refuted" by the invention of transporters. Ironically, Captain Kelvar L. Garth suffered an accident while beaming off the USS Heisenberg.
