The USS Hermes (NCC-10376) was a Federation Antares-class starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia)
As of 2310, the Hermes' was under the command of Captain Nyota Uhura. That year, the vessel transported Doctor Carol Marcus to the planet Pacifica in order to test an experimental new Genesis Device. (TOS short story: "The Hero of My Own Life")
In 2368, the Hermes took part in Federation blockade of Romulan space during the Klingon Civil War. (TNG episode: "Redemption")
