The USS Hornet was an Excelsior-class Federation starship in service during the late 23rd century.

This ship was used in the elite Klingon Command Academy bridge crew training simulations for the Class of 2290. As such, she was encountered in the Hyndman star system in a simulated mission, in company with the USS Fuller, USS Tempest and USS Fesoan. (TOS video game: Klingon Academy)
