The USS Juno was an Excelsior-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century.
By 2377, the Juno was under the command of Captain Jill Leeden. The Juno was assigned to recover the bodies from the derelict starships at the battleground of Rashanar. Their somber mission to recover the bodies were often hampered by privateers from numerous races trying to steal from the wreckages, and the crew of the Juno soon named the battle site, the "boneyard".
In 2378, the Juno was attacked by the Androssi and collided with a derelict Klingon Attack Cruiser. The ship was heavily damaged in the attack, but was destroyed shortly after while engaged in battle against the Ontailians. (TNG novel: A Time to Be Born).
