The USS Kearsarge (NCC-57566) was a Challenger-class starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century.

The USS Enterprise-D rendezvoused with the Kearsarge in 2370, shortly after the Kot'baval festival on Maranga IV. (TNG episode: "Firstborn")

In 2381, the Kearsarge was part of the defensive fleet assigned to defend planet Vulcan during the Borg Invasion of that year. (ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls) During their engagement, the first officer was killed and the commanding officer, Captain Tando, suffered a mental breakdown, requiring the second officer, Lieutenant Commander Kara na Miin, to assume command.

The ship survived, and later made port at Starbase 22. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
