The USS Koop was a Federation starship in Starfleet service in the 23rd century. In the 2250s, Lieutenant Leonard McCoy gave up the positon of chief medical officer on the USS Richard Feynman to serve as a junior medical officer of the Koop. (TOS novel: The Better Man)

The Koop seems to have been named for C. Everett Koop, a 20th century surgeon general of the United States of America.
