The USS Lyric was a Federation Starfleet starship in service in the 2370s. It saw action in the Dominion War.

In 2374, the Lyric joined the IKS Rotarran, the USS Centaur, the USS Traynor and the IKS K'lashm'a in a diversionary attack on a Dominion Ketracel-white storage barge near the Argolis Cluster. Benjamin Sisko, commanding the fleet from the Centaur, ordered the Lyric to attack the barge and also had Martok alternate the lead position between the Traynor, the Rotarran and the Lyric to make the Jem'Hadar confused as to which ship was leading the attack.

The Lyric was destroyed in action several weeks later. It had been planned that the Lyric would be part of the attack to retake Deep Space 9 and Captain Sisko mourned its loss. (DS9 - The Dominion War novelization: ...Sacrifice of Angels)
