The USS Magellan (NCC-3069) (also registered as NCC-2504) was a Federation Constellation-class heavy destroyer/exploratory cruiser starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century, commissioned on reference stardate 2/6312. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia; FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual; Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom; TNG video game: Birth of the Federation)

In the 2360s, the Magellan was under the command of Captain Conklin. In 2369, Conklin ordered the Magellan to the Remmler Array for a baryon sweep, while the crew was entertained by Commander Hutchinson. (TNG episode: "Starship Mine")

The alternate registry NCC-2504 and commission date is derived from the FASA Corporation roleplay supplement Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual, while the more commonly repeated registry NCC-3069 is derived from the Star Trek Encyclopedia. The Encyclopedia specifies that this is the ship mentioned in the TNG episode.
