The USS Manhattan was a Federation starship in Starfleet service in the mid-23rd century, in the early 2250s, named for the location Manhattan on Earth. In 2255, Captain Mark Rousseau took command of this vessel. By 2256, he had left the Manhattan to take over the USS Hood. (TOS novel: The Better Man)
