The USS Maryland (NCC-45109) was a Renaissance-class Starfleet starship in service in the 24th century. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia)

Prior to 2333, the Maryland was involved in the Battle of Ankaata. The ship was attacked and, during the battle, Patricia Paris lost her arm saving fellow officers. (STA novel: Progenitor)

Prior to the Dominion invasion of the Alpha Quadrant in 2373, the Maryland had been lost in the Gamma Quadrant and was presumed to have been destroyed by the Jem'Hadar. (DS9 episode: "In Purgatory's Shadow")
