The USS Nova (NCC-2501) was a Federation Constellation-class class XII heavy cruiser starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century, having been built and entering service by around reference stardate 2/6104. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)
By the 2370s the Nova had been succeeded by a Nova-class ship bearing the same name. (TNG movie: Star Trek Nemesis)
