The USS Paladin (NCC-2501) was a Federation starship, a Constitution-class heavy cruiser in service to Starfleet in the late 23rd century.

History[]

In 2272, Rear Admiral James T. Kirk temporarily assumed command of the Paladin. He was aboard as an observer while the ship's captain was visiting the USS Starhawk. Paladin saw action during what was expected to have been just a test simulation of an experimental rescue starship, the USS Recovery. (TOS - The Lost Years novel: Recovery)

The Paladin was a refit ship of the Enterprise-subclass, specifically outfitted as a fire support cruiser (CFS) by the 2280s decade. (ST video game: Starfleet Command)

No history or fate is established for this vessel in Starfleet Command as its name was randomly assigned to a cruiser vessel by the game software.
