The USS Patton was a Larson-class Federation starship in service in the 23rd century. It was a destroyer.

Service history[]

At some point, Matthew Decker served aboard the Patton while holding the rank of lieutenant commander. In 2244, he commanded the Patton during the battle at Donatu V. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)

At the close of the Four Years War (late 2250s), the USS Patton was part of a number of Starfleet vessels pursuing defeated Klingon forces. On the way, the force discovered the Orion Colony of Namezk, recently freed by the withdrawing Klingons. The Patton detached to make a complete survey and made first contact with the inhabitants. The Orions there were eager to trade with the Federation and happily provided the Starfleet forces with useful information on Klingon movements towards Kolm-an. (FASA RPG module: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge)

Much later, after Starfleet Intelligence agent Michael Thorn disappeared on reference stardate 2/1410.21 (circa 2273), the USS Patton was tasked with transporting a group of Starfleet personnel to the Orion Colony world of Daros IV. Their mission was to continue Thorn's investigation into rumors of Klingon activity on Daros IV.

On stardate 2/1412, the Patton intercepted the Eridani Star, a Mission-class transport ship owned by the TransSolar company and en route to Daros IV. The Eridani was commandeered to carry the Starfleet investigators undercover to Daros IV. The Patton meanwhile patrolled outside the system and would provide support if required. (FASA RPG module: Orion Ruse)

As this is an RPG adventure module, the official outcome is unknown, though a successful conclusion would see the Patton aiding the Starfleet investigators and destroying the pirate ship Morakos.
