Starfleet named several ships Pegasus. The USS Pegasus (NCC-622) was an active around the year 2285. (ST video game: Encounters)

A second Oberth-class ship, the USS Pegasus (NCC-53847), was a prototype vessel that served as a testbed for technology. In the 2350s, Section 31[4] arranged for the ship to be equipped with an illegal phasing cloaking device. In 2358, the Pegasus was lost during a test of the cloak. The circumstances of the loss remained classified until 2370. (TNG episode: "The Pegasus")

Active service[]

A third Oberth-class ship had been commissioned by the late 2370s.

In the year 2379 of the First Splinter[5] timeline, Male'finkatta asked Commander Geordi La Forge of the USS Enterprise-E for a chambliss coil. A Ferengi trading vessel went to meet with the Pegasus to bring the coil. (TNG - A Time to... novel: A Time to Love)
