The USS Pollux (NCC-1808) was a Constitution-class (Tikopai-subclass) Federation heavy cruiser starship ordered for Starfleet service in the 23rd century, named for the star Pollux.

Construction of Pollux was authorized by the Starfleet appropriation of stardate 5930. (TOS reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)

The stardate given would seem to suggest this ship was ordered during the TAS era. It is not even known if this vessel was built, only that it was authorized. Presumably, the Pollux-class of escort vessels was begun by a prototype that was named as a successor to this vessel, although such a ship was not specifically mentioned.
