The USS Pompeii (NCC-424) was a 23rd century Federation starship, a Saladin-class destroyer.

In 2270, the Pompeii assisted the USS Enterprise and USS Potemkin in recapturing the stolen dreadnought, USS Star Empire. During the ensuing battle, the Pompeii was destroyed by the order of her commanding officer, Vice Admiral Vaughan Rittenhouse. (TOS - Fortunes of War novel: Dreadnought!)
