Service history[]
The Pooma was one of the Walker-class starships that entered and re-entered service following the end of the Iconian War. The vessel participated in a simulation of a historical battle from the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257, the Defense of Starbase One. In the simulation, the Pooma saw action against at least one DSC-class bird-of-prey. (STO video game: Age of Discovery, STO website: "The Defense of Starbase One!")
The ship was also a testbed for reputation task force-based deflector shields. (STO video game: Age of Discovery)
