The USS Regal was a Federation cruiser in service in the 24th century. In 2370, the Regal was under the command of Captain Jon Rachman.

In 2370, the Regal and the USS Valor were assigned to escort the antimatter tanker Phoenix to Deep Space 9. Nearing the space station, the Regal and the Valor were attacked by Klingon mercenaries in Birds of Prey. After four Cardassian fighters entered the wormhole, the Regal was repaired enough to look threatening and took a shakedown cruise around the Bajor system. However, the Regal never went in pursuit of the fighters. Later, the Phoenix returned and was destroyed by the Birds of Prey. When the Regal approached the Klingons they retreated into warp.
