The USS Republic II (NCC-1753) was a Federation Constitution-class (mk I Enterprise-subclass) class XI cruiser starship in service to Starfleet in the 23rd and 24th centuries, entering service on reference stardate 2/1904 (ca. mid-2270s). (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)

In 2284, the Republic was commanded by Fleet Captain Sufik. That year, the vessel served as the flagship for the Starfleet War College tactical exercise Operation: Tactical Encounters XXVI. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)

It is not known if this is the training ship used by 24th century Starfleet cadets, as noted in the DS9 episode: "Valiant".
