The USS Rhea (NCC-2753) was a Federation Loknar-class class VIII frigate starship in service to Starfleet in the mid-to-late 23rd century. The Rhea was named after Rhea, a moon of the planet Saturn. (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual; TNG novel: Greater Than the Sum)

The Rhea was built to Mk II Loknar-class specifications and entered active service around reference stardate 1/9809 (circa 2256). On stardate 2/1305 (circa 2271), the Rhea re-entered active service after a refit to Mk IV specifications, which saw equipped with the new FWD-2 warp drive and modifications to her torpedo launchers to fire the new FP-1 torpedoes. The Rhea was later decommissioned or destroyed in unknown circumstances by the late 24th century and replaced by a Luna-class vessel, the USS Rhea (NCC-80110). (TNG novel: Greater Than the Sum)
