The USS Sadat was a Federation starship in service during the 2270s, designated as a light cruiser.

In 2275, the Sadat greeted the USS Enterprise upon her return to the Sol system following her test of the inversion drive. (TOS novel: The Wounded Sky)

Given the context of the Sadat's appearance in The Wounded Sky, it is likely that she was either a Constellation-class or Constitution-class starship. Alternatively, she could be the Saladin-class Sadat of Star Fleet Battles fame.

It is also likely that the ship was named for Anwar Sadat.
