For other uses, see Uhura.

The USS Samara Uhura (NCC-6008) was a Federation Decker-class class X destroyer starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century. The Uhura was commissioned on reference stardate 2/7711, having been named for the noteworthy Starfleet officer, Samara Uhura. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)

Although it seems this vessel was intended to be named for Nyota Uhura, the name does not match hers, and raises the possibility the ship could be named for a different individual with the same surname.
