The USS Saratoga (NCC-3007) (also known as the Saratoga III) was a Federation Royal Sovereign-class battle cruiser starship in Starfleet service in the 24th century. This ship, built at Salazaar Shipyards, was completed on reference stardate 2/9001, and was one of a number of vessels to bear the name, after a geographical location on Earth's North American continent and military conflicts of the American Revolution fought there. No specific history or definitive final fate was established for this vessel as its name was listed for RPG scenarios. The game designers appended the name as "Saratoga III" in the book, even though there are conflicting sources both in the FASA games and licensed Star Trek in general pointing to more (or less) Saratogas having been in Starfleet service up to that point. While the ship was listed as active in the game book set in 2364, it should probably be considered to be taken out of service by the time the Miranda-class USS Saratoga is active.
