USS Sarek

The USS Sarek was a Federation starship in service in the 24th century. Named for Sarek of Vulcan, it saw action during the Dominion War.

In early 2374, it participated in Operation Return. Captain Benjamin Sisko had the Sarek brought forward to take the place of the USS Cortez which had been forced to withdraw due to malfunctioning guidance thrusters on their port nacelle. (DS9 episode: "Favor the Bold")

The Sarek later took a position at the back of the Starfleet forces' spear formation that headed into the "jaws of death" of the Dominion forces. (DS9 - The Dominion War novelization: ...Sacrifice of Angels)

Jefferson Blackmer served aboard the Sarek after leaving the USS Nova. Blackmer would later leave the Sarek for a position on the USS Bellerophon. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Plagues of Night)
