The USS Sovereign (NCC-74977-A) was a 25th century Federation starship, a Sovereign-class assault cruiser in Starfleet in service in the 2400s and 2410s decades. (STO - Legacy mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

History and disposition[]

In the 24th century, Starfleet operated the Sovereign-class starship USS Sovereign (NCC-73811). (PRD episode: "Supernova")

At some point, the Sovereign-A was assimilated by the Borg Collective. Starfleet recovered the ship, with its Borg modifications intact, and returned it to service on First Contact Day on 5 April 2410. (STO mission: "First Contact Day")

The Sovereign-A was temporarily refitted into a tier 5-rated Vizier-class command assault cruiser. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

From that year on, the Sovereign-A represented the Vizier- and other Sovereign-class variants in the Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface on shipyard facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

The Imperial Klingon Defense Force similarly employed the Sovereign-A on its Order of Builders interfaces. (STO - Empire mission: "First City")

Khitomer Alliance flag officers deployed Sovereign-A in its assimilated configuration for missions around the galaxy's quadrants as part of Operation Delta Rising's Four Quadrant Strategy. (STO - Delta Rising mission: "Admiralty System")
