The USS Tehran was a Federation Baton Rouge-class cruiser starship in Starfleet service in the 23rd century.

On reference stardate 2174 the Tehran, while under the command of Captain Luigi Pirelli, was assigned as the official observer in the Transporter Demonstration Project's verification test to prove that a humanoid could safely be transported. Science Officer Winslow of the USS Moscow was successfully transported to the Tehran and subjected to a tricorder scan by Tehran CMO O'Leary, who confirmed that there was no ill effects.
