The USS Thelian was an Ambassador-class starship in service in the 24th century.

In 2363, the Thelian, was one of Captain Jean-Luc Picard's fleet of seven starships to prevent the Regnancy of the Carnelian Throne from accessing the Manraloth archive.

The fleet, which was made up of the Thelian, USS Cybele, USS Tecumseh, USS Malinche, USS Victory, USS Puttkamer and the USS Nautilus, assembled in the Mirfak system before travelling at high warp to the Kirisha system where they engaged the Carnelian warships.

During the battle, the Manraloth Giriaenn used her advanced technology to displace the Thelian's warp core and fusion reactors, leaving the starship drifting in space. Her benevolent plan backfired when the Carnelian flagship took advantage of the Starfleet vessel's loss of power and destroyed it. (TLE novel: The Buried Age)

The Thelian is named for the Andorian President of the United Federation of Planets Thelianaresth th'Vorothishria ^[1]
