The USS Valdemar (NCC-26198) was an Ambassador-class heavy cruiser in service in the 24th century.

In 2333, the Valdemar was under the command of Captain Calabrese. The Valdemar was part of the task force organized to fight an unknown vessel attacking Federation vessels. (STA novel: Enigma).

In 2370, the Valdemar was assigned to patrolling the Federation/Cardassian border. (RPG reference: Starfleet Operations Manual)

Later that year, this ship, along with the USS Prokofiev and the USS Enterprise were ordered by Starfleet to a rallying point near the Cardassian border after Chief Miles O'Brien was arrested on false charges. (DS9 episode: "Tribunal").

After the incident had passed, the Valdemar prevented several Cardassian incursions into Federation territory. (RPG reference: Starships)
