The USS Valletta was an Istanbul-class starship in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In 2374, the Valletta was sent to evacuate the cultural observation post on planet Coroticus III ahead of a Dominion occupation force. The Valletta was forced by Jem'Hadar ships to withdraw from the planet and abandon the final member of the observation team, Lieutenant Saed Squire. (SCE eBook: Fables of the Prime Directive)
