The USS Wyoming (NCC-43730) was a Mediterranean-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century.

Service historyEdit

Prior to 2349, the Wyoming was under the command of Captain Karl Broadnax, a man with a reputation for strongheadedness and a confrontational attitude. Broadnax earned the nicknames "Broadsword" and "Battleaxe" from members of his crew, but none ever uttered them in his hearing. (TNG - Double Helix novel: The First Virtue)

In 2349, following the sudden and unexpected death of Broadnax, the Wyoming came under the command of Broadnax's first officer, Leonard James Akaar. The Wyoming rescued Akaar and Ensign Tuvok on a Neltedian planetoid after their shuttle crashed and they were missing for nearly two weeks. (TTN novel: The Red King).

The Wyoming remained in service throughout the conflict known as the Dominion War. In 2375, the Wyoming took casualties fighting Dominion forces. (DS9 episode: "The Siege of AR-558")
