The USS Zodiac was the prototype of the Zodiac-class of Federation starship that entered service in the 24th century. By the late 2370s, the Zodiac was commanded by Captain Momosaki.
In 2379, the Zodiac transported the Romulan citizen, Decalon, to a meet with the Annabel Lee for a mission into Romulan space. (TNG novel: Death in Winter)
