- Murumbi's date of birth is stated to have been in 2164, as opposed to a more likely 2264.
- During the 2240s, Leonard McCoy served onboard Xerxes and Crocket.
- The Klingon-Romulan Alliance is still in place.
- Planet Macedon was populated by Terrans sometime between 2161 and 2240.
- Nyota Uhura misses her old lover Jomo Murumbi, a Captain in the Special Forces of the United States of Africa, who was killed in duty while on Obia in Somalia on October 16, 2264.
- Miranie of Sparta was born in the 2230s.
- The regiment of Jaral Perseus Anakreon Jasteel Demetrius Stephanopoulos defeated the Traasmeen revolutionists in Byzantion three months prior to the story, although Jaral himself did not partake.
