Good news, everybody! The Star Trek Encyclopedia is getting an update!
Yes, Mike & Denise Okuda are working on a revised encyclopedia to be published in the summer of 2016. The new edition was first announced by John Van Citters of CBS Consumer Products at the Las Vegas Star Trek convention on 9th August earlier this year. becker&mayer! will produce the book which will be split into two volumes—totalling 1056 pages—housed in a slip case (similar, I should think, to the Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library reference work).

After the "Will they? Won't they?" leading up to the eventual release of the Ships of the Line 2014 calendar, I wasn't expecting a Ships of the Line 2015. However, I've seen a couple of promising hints online that fill me with hope that the 2015 edition will be going ahead.
