The V'Ket are a military arm of the Confederacy of Vulcan that consists of the planetary armed forces which was part of the Vulcan Ministry of Defense.
Due to the peaceful nature of the Vulcan species, the V'Ket are more ceremonial then functional. Armed with the lirpa rather then the phaser. They are commonly found at the religious locations on the planet Vulcan such as Mount Seleya. This is under the logical assumption that a planet becomes vulnerable if there is not an adequate starship navy in protecting the world, which is handled by the Vulcan Defense Force.
