Veret was a minion of the Albino in 2293. He attempted to assasinate Demora Sulu for the Albino by using a disease based on the Omega IV virus specially tailored to Sulu's DNA. Luckily, Sulu's father, Hikaru Sulu, picked up an immunity to the Omega IV virus before Demora was born, and passed the immunity on to his daughter. (TLE novel: Excelsior: Forged in Fire)
