According to records, Doctor Veronica "Ronnie" Neary was a pioneering geneticist and microbiologist at the University of Washington in Seattle in the early 1970s. Those records were false.

In fact, "Veronica Neary" was an alias used by Aegis operative Roberta Lincoln to investigate the disappearance of several Soviet geneticists in 1973, which led Lincoln and Gary Seven to uncover Sarina Kaur's Chrysalis Project to produce genetic supermen. (novel: Star Trek: The Eugenics Wars)
