The Vladivostok was a vessel in the Soviet Navy during the 20th century, named after the Russian city. In 1995, under the command of Captain Feklenko, it was in the aircraft carrier Sergei G. Gorshkov's support group during its demonstration run in the Black Sea. The Vladivostok fired an unarmed missile which was shot down by the EMP weapon the Gorshkov was testing. (TNG novel: Ghost Ship)

It was not specified what type of vessel the Vladivostok was. Four heavy cruisers and six destroyers are mentioned as being in the carrier's support group, so it was likely one of these.
