The Vulcan Ministry of Thought was an organization within the Vulcan government.

It had one of the most important duties in the long run for the Vulcan race which was the preservation of the planet Vulcan's learning and accumulated wisdom of a thousand years. Thus, it possessed a network of academies, colleges, art galleries, monasteries, libraries, museums and other similar institutions. This ensured that Vulcan's past intellectual accomplishments were preserved and that future achievements in those fields were possible.
