A Waiver of Property and Profit was a contract that was signed within the Ferengi civilization which were made during marriages. The W,P & P states that if the marriage ends, the female will give up all claim to her husband's estate.

In 2373, Rom attempted to persuade Leeta to sign a WP&P. Leeta refused and their engagement was called off. Rom later relented and gave away all his latinum to Bajoran war orphans. (DS9 episode: "Ferengi Love Songs")

By 2376, Rom, now Grand Nagus, had introduced a number of reforms within the Ferengi Alliance, one of which declared all prenuptial Waivers of Property and Profit being null and void. To the horror of some Ferengi, some of the females were even beginning to hire lawyers to renegotiate their marriage contracts. (DS9 novel: Ferenginar: Satisfaction is Not Guaranteed)
