A wheelchair is a device used by a person who is unable to walk or suffers from other ailments or disabilities.

History and specifics[]

Professor Eugene Eckhart was using a motorized wheelchair at Illinois State University in the year 1970 while speaking with General Dwayne Cory. (TOS - Assignment: Earth comic: "My Name Is Legion")

Melora Pazlar had to use a wheelchair on Deep Space 9, due to her anti-gravity unit being unusable. (DS9 episode: "Melora")

In 2377, Ro Laren briefly used a wheelchair when she was recovering from the injuries inflicted on her by Taran'atar. Doctor Tarses was angry she was not using the exoframe supports he had given her. (DS9 episode: "Fearful Symmetry")
