For the mirror universe counterpart, see Winston Churchill (mirror).

Sir Winston Churchill (30 November 1874 - 24 January 1965) was a British politician who lived during the 19th and 20th centuries. He was best known for serving as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955.

Biography[]

Alternate timeline[]

In an alternate timeline in which Nazi Germany had conquered much of the eastern United States by 1944, Churchill made a speech which was broadcast over the radio in 1944 in which he attempted to bolster the moral of the Allied Forces: "As to the youth of all the Britons, I say 'You cannot stop.' There is no halting-place at this point. We have now reached a stage in the journey where there can be no pause. We must go on. It must be world anarchy or world order."

The speech was picked up by the crew of Enterprise, which had been sent back in time from 2154, while they were in orbit of Earth. It served to alert them to the fact that history had been altered. (ENT episode: "Storm Front")

Legacy[]

In 2152, Lieutenant Malcolm Reed compared the speeches of Chancellor Kultarey, the political leader of one of the factions of a pre-warp civilisation, to those made by Churchill prior to the Second World War. (ENT episode: "The Communicator")

In 2154, Captain Jonathan Archer and Daniels saw an image of Churchill in the time stream as the timeline reset itself. (ENT episode: "Storm Front")

Churchill was studied by the 23rd century historian Alexander Lazarus, who created an android, with the psi-clone, and imbued it with Churchill's personality and history. This android, like other androids of Lazarus, created a city on Gamma Alpha V. He was likely destroyed in the explosion of Gamma Alpha V on Stardate 10:26.3. (TOS comic: "The Legacy of Lazarus")
