Xant was a deity worshipped by numerous races and cultures in and near Sector 221-G. Belief in Xant is known as "Xantism," and is preached by the Redeemers. (NF - Prometheans novel: Martyr)

Biography[]

Xant may have been an actual historical figure; in a vision revealed to Eben Saxosus, Xant was shown as the right-hand man of a vicious barbarian named Shadis. Xant killed Shadis in order to end his brutish rule and take his place. His deeds as ruler brought him fame, and soon became legend, so that after he had "gone beyond," he came to be considered divine. (NF - No Limits short story: "Redemption")
