Xenon (symbol Xe) is a chemical element, a noble gas with atomic number 54 on the periodic table.

Characteristics and history[]

Xenon has an atomic mass of 131.30. This element was discovered by Humans for the first time on Earth's European continent in England, in the year 1898. (ST reference: Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual)

For the benefit of Bajorans, Deep Space 9's breathing air contains xenon as part of two percent of other gases. (DS9 reference: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Technical Manual)
