The Yaris Nebula was a stellar nursery nebula in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. In the late 2370s the nebula was explored by Starfleet. (VOY novel: Full Circle)

On stardate 56494 (June 30, 2379), USS Voyager docked at Proxima Station before departing on a deep space mission to survey the Yaris Nebula. This mission of exploration lasted for ten months. Following its conclusion, Voyager returned to Earth, just after the Borg Supercube Crisis.
In May 2381, Captain Chakotay recalled the mission to the nebula during an evaluation session with Counselor Hugh Cambridge. (VOY novel: Full Circle)
