Yolja River

The Yolja River is a body of water in Bajor's Kendra Province. On both sides of the river are valley plains and forests that stretch for hundreds of kilometers until the land meets the sea. A path along the Yolja is known as the River Way. (DS9 novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)

In late 2375, Captain Benjamin Sisko bought an area of land just south of it to construct his house on. (DS9 episode: "Penumbra", DS9 short story: "Requital")

In late 2376, Jake Sisko left his father's house and began to hike along the Yolja. He eventually met Azeni Korena, who he married several days later. (DS9 novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)

Several weeks later, Captain Kira Nerys named Deep Space 9's newest runabout, the USS Yolja, after the river. (DS9 novel: The Dominion: Olympus Descending)
