Zanthi fever was a medical condition which affected the empathic abilities of mature Betazoids, causing them to project their emotions onto others.

Lwaxana Troi was diagnosed with Zanthi fever in 2371, while attending the Bajoran Gratitude Festival on Deep Space 9. Dr. Julian Bashir treated her with a wide-spectrum anti-viral agent.
