Zeta Boötis was a binary star system located near the space claimed by the Federation government in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. The system was located in proximity to Yed Posterior and Ascella. Zeta Boötis was known to Humans as being visible from Earth in the Boötes constellation, about 180 light-years distant.
