Zot is a Ferengi religious figure. Ferengi women beleived that Zot gave them skin, but not clothes. Some Ferengi, such as Quark and Gimba, would use Zot's name in excitement by saying "by the wonders of Zot," or the shorter "by Zot". (DS9 novel: Antimatter)
